Bio

As a senior at Henry Ford II High School, I have been part of "The Generator" for three years and have served as the Design Editor for the past two. I'm obsessed with working on the newspaper. You can find me in the publications room during lunch, hall passing and any spare chance I get during the day. Anytime I have an assignment in a class that requires a computer, it's a safe bet that InDesign is open in another tab. I am captain of the varsity cheerleading team and have been on the team all four years. I'm also an officer for my school's International Thespian Society chapter and am the marketing director for our theatre department. I'm known as the theatre's resident designer and use my journalism design knowledge to make the posters for all of our shows, programs, stickers, T-shirts and just about anything else that needs a little graphic flair. After high school, I plan on studying journalism in college next fall at Wayne State University.

Education

I have taken Mrs. Campion's journalism class for three years, and this year even take her yearbook class to get extra work done on the paper. Over the past two summers, I have attended the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association's Summer Journalism Workshop at Michigan State and taken the Design Like a Pro and News Editing courses. I have attended the Fall MIPA Conference twice and been to the JEA National High School Journalism Conferences in Chicago and Washington, DC.
